Thinking About Joining Our Team?
Owning, training and working a man-trailing Bloodhound can be a very rewarding and satisfying experience. Trails will lead you into places you could never imagine a person could go.
You must be willing to work long and hard, in the heat, the cold and the rain, at all hours of the day or night, to work your regular job, go to bed on a cold, rainy night: just get to sleep and then be called out to search for a lost person.
You must have TIME, and plenty of it, to devote to the training of your dog. This cannot be done on a sporadic, “work when I can” basis.
Before you begin to take on this endeavor, examine yourself and your life style, and determine if you are willing to devote yourself to this volunteer profession and its rigorous demands.
